Project Life Begins...

I am super excited to be embarking on this new project, called Project Life. The basic idea is to scrapbook daily life on a week by week basis, incorporating many of my photo of the day pictures. I am hoping to create a double-page spread for each week. But since I am already behind, with pulling the pages together, I am thinking some weeks may be single page spreads. Either way, I am truly enjoying having my camera out more often and am hopeful to document our daily life.
So to get this ball rolling, here is the introduction page to my Project Life 2012.

Good Old Days...

I have been recently cleaning house.... in so many ways! My digital photo library is HUGE and in need of time and attention. As I weed through old photos, I am really enjoying the journey down memory lane. These are pictures from my niece's 3rd Birthday. She was born on December 31st, 2002. This particular year we celebrated Lauren's birthday by having a New Year's Day Party. The party also include decorating bikes and wagons and parading down the block. The kids had a gas!

Another new year, another birthday! We are already celebrating at our house. Last night was Shawn's Birthday. We decided to make it simple, just an evening with us and the kids. We headed to the McKinney Square and had dinner at Rick's. It was delicious! A perfect night with my favorite people! I wish I would have taken more shots but I am happy to have this one!

Braces off, Braces on

This past Monday was joyous for Alec. He got his 1st round of braces off and celebrated by eating sticky candies and chewing gum. Unfortunately, Peyton did not share his joy. She sat next to him at the orthodontist and had her 2nd round of braces put on. Two days later, she is still miserable. Her gums are cut up and swollen. She can't enjoy eating and feels ugly. Poor girl! We try to tell her this will pass. She looks at us like we are insensitive and clueless.

This was fun to make. I used Angie Kovac's Template Sampler #1 12x12. I also added lots of other goodies from 2Peas - including Scrap Originals Yuletide kit, Kenner Road's Flash Card alphas, Polka Dot Pixels kraft paper, and Michelle Underwood's Baby It's Cold Outside.
